Down Payment Assistance

There are several types of Down Payment Assistance available from Government, Charitable, and Publicly Funded Organizations. On October 1st, 2003, President George W. Bush signed the American Dream Downpayment Act, which grants down payment assistance organizations an allowance of over 100,000 million dollars per year. This money is then distributed in the form of down payment assistance to homebuyers. Additionally on February 3rd, 2004 President Bush signed the Zero Downpayment Act, which grants homebuyers additional funds to help cover their down payments.
